A Small Business is Born
Founded in 2011, we started with little more than a vision for quality furniture designs and a passion for service. We saw the need for reimagined and hand-made pieces that really put the YOU in unique, and with that, our small business was born.
At first, the focus was on handmade farm tables, headboards, and smaller items. Before long, we were building multiple pieces for multiple rooms. Our customers appreciated our enthusiasm for woodworking. We know how to select the right lumber and use the right techniques to build furniture that will last for decades.
We learned that we can easily replicate higher-end designs and provide our customers with more options, such as custom colors, upscale finishes, and a wider variety of hardware. When we added barn doors to our collection of services, we quickly rose to be one of North Georgia's premier builders for both residential and commercial applications. Today, we've expanded our business beyond solo projects with people just like you and work with many commercial builders, interior designers, and realtors. For most of our doors and built-in jobs, we come to you to meet, measure, and provide on-site estimates. Everything is then hand-selected and crafted with care in our shop in Gainesville before being installed onsite if needed.

To that end, we'll work closely with you to understand your needs so that your custom project, whether it be a furniture piece, doors, or custom cabinetry, is made and delivered to your satisfaction.
Today, You're Unique is owned by Stephen Brendel and is located in Gainesville, Georgia, near beautiful Lake Lanier. We proudly serve Cumming, Flowery Branch, Oakwood, as well as Dawsonville, as well as most of Gwinnett and North Fulton Counties.
